Psaki The eldest of three daughters,was born in Stamford, Connecticut in 1978 to psychotherapist[8] Eileen (nee Dolan) Medvey[9] and Dimitrios "James" R. Psaki (Greek: Demetrios R. Psakes), a real estate developer who retired with a grandfather who left Greece in 1904 and her grandmother was of Irish descent. The couple got married in 1976. Psaki is also of Polish origin. She graduated from Greenwich High School 1996. In 2000, she graduated from the College of William & Mary with an education in English and sociology. She is a Chi Omega Sorority member. Psaki competed in backstroke swimming for William & Mary Tribe for two years. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 when she was a re-election candidate for the U.S. Senate of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack. Psaki then became deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S. Representative) and also as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will be an analyst in the 2022 United States election and the 2024 presidential election. In 2023 she will host an online Peacock streaming program on MSNBC. [35] Psaki was the first person to appear on TV after leaving her position as White House Press Secretary for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also spoke about the massacre at Robb Elementary School massacre.
